On June 19 – 20, CFA Association Russia held offline training on financial modeling in Excel (level 1). During the training, students learned how to create simple financial models from scratch, as well as build more complex dynamic models and execute an express verification. Also, training participants learned what the most common mistakes in modeling are and how to avoid them. The course was taught by Renat Asadov, an MBA in Finance degree holder, who has 10 years of experience as a financial director.

The training lasted for two days and took place in the Comcity business center in Moscow. Participants had an opportunity to ask the tutor all the questions in person and consult about all problems encountered immediately. Given the current epidemiological situation, CFA Association Russia took a responsible approach to the issue and provided the participants with all the personal hygiene products needed, as well as made sure the social distancing was kept duly during the event.
