On June 19 – 20, CFA Association Russia held offline training on exposing manipulation in financial reports. The course participants learned what goals are set by the company's management when forming financial reports, what techniques exist for their "purposeful" achievement and how external users can detect such manipulations. The training was conducted by Alina Kosunova, CFA certificate holder. Alina has experience in consulting and preparing business plans and financial models, and since 2017 has been responsible for financial modeling as part of the Aeroflot Group's Development Strategy.

The training lasted for two days and took place in the Comcity business center in Moscow. Participants had an opportunity to ask the tutor all the questions in person and consult about all problems encountered immediately. Given the current epidemiological situation, CFA Association Russia took a responsible approach to the issue and provided the participants with all the personal hygiene products needed, as well as made sure the social distancing was kept duly during the event.
